The Malawi Communications Authority held its final child online protection training of trainers’ workshop in Blantyre on 24th November.
The aim of the regional training is to equip stakeholders with necessary knowledge and skills to train others on how to protect children from online risks and harm.
In her opening remarks, the International Telecommunications Union’s (ITU) senior coordinator Digital Inclusion Ms. Carla, urged participants to be responsible by bringing technology to children with necessary measures.
The workshops, organized by MACRA in conjunction with the International Telecommunications Union, were also conducted in Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
The training attracted participants from The Malawi Judiciary, Young Voices organization and other organizations.
The stakeholders have since hailed the training as informative.
