The Malawi Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) has organized a comprehensive cybersecurity workshop targeting the Finance and Telecommunication sectors. The event is scheduled to take place from February 24-28, consisting of two primary components:
Technical Training:
A technical training session will be held on February 24-25, focused on preparing participants for upcoming sectoral CERTs in the Finance and Telecommunication sectors.
Conference:
A conference will follow on February 26-28, targeting high-level personnel from the Finance and Telecommunication sectors.
Workshop Objectives:
The workshop aims to bring together stakeholders from the banking and Telecom sectors to:
Discuss pressing cybersecurity challenges facing the industry
Share best practices and lessons learned
Explore innovative solutions to enhance the sector’s resilience against cyber threats
