In today’s digital age, cybersecurity is more important than ever. As students spend an increasing amount of time online, they are more vulnerable to online threats such as phishing, identity theft, and cyberbullying.
To address this growing concern, we are excited to announce that a team led by our Consumer Affairs Manager Mr Hatchson Mkwapatira held various Cybersecurity Awareness School Outreach Program, aimed at educating students about the importance of online safety and best practices for protecting their personal information. As digital natives, students today are constantly connected, but many are unaware of the potential risks they face. Through this program, we aim to empower students with the knowledge they need to protect themselves and make informed decisions in their online interactions.
By fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness, we are helping to build safer online environments for everyone. Some of the schools that have benefited in the outreach program include Lilongwe Girls Secondary School, Ungweru Organization, Msongwe CDSS and Kamuzu Academy. The school outreach program was part of our cyber security awareness month activities which we were commemorating through out the month of November.
